October was a good month for progress on our game.

We hired a new designer from Romania who turned out to be just awesome. He finished up the bulk of the work which mainly consisted of animations. He also had some good input on various aspects of the game.

Our game is now in our developers hands. We should be seeing our first working demo within the next week. Exciting stuff!

We focused most of the month on the marketing plan for the iPhone app business.

One of the big questions we encountered when developing our iPhone game was what do we do about sounds?

We needed a variety of tracks to make our game complete.  I’m talking about cool game music, ambient background noise for our scenes and characters sounds.

We’re also on a tight budget, so we did not want to hire someone to develop the sounds for us.  Plus, I think you’re limited when you go this route to just that sound developers creativity.

If you do any type of Google searches, you’ll find endless coding tutorials for adding sound to your game.  Just what we didn’t need.  Remember, we’re taking the easy road here.  Everything is being outsourced in our game.
